Featuring over 110 previously unseen photographs, Hip Hop Immortals Exhibition captures the glitz and the glamour of one of the most exciting genres in recent music history. Appealing to both die hard hip hop fans as well as the uninitiated, the exhibition features unseen pictures of Eminem, Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes, Public Enemy, Fifty Cent and Cypress Hill, and showcases work by 30 of music's most talented and celebrated photographers including Jonathan Mannion, Nitin Vadukul, David Corio, Raymond Boyd, Janette Beckman, Jim Fiscus, Estevan Oriol, Matt Doyle and Danny Clinch. Included with the exhibition is the groundbreaking British documentary, We Got Your Kids - a revealing new film charting the rise of hip hop from its roots in the 1980s to its integration into mainstream popular culture. Narrated by Bonz Malone and directed by Kris Palestrini, it features interviews with Rakim, Marley Marl, Gang Starr, the late Jam Master Jay, Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe and many more. The documentary earned a special screening at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts earlier this year. The Hip Hop Immortals exhibition is part of a world touring project which started in April 2002 and encompasses photo exhibitions, a limited edition book release, film screenings and events http://www.hiphopimmortals.com/2003_html/events.html |
